Frequently asked questions

What student populations do you work with?

I support students from Early Childhood through age 22, including Elementary, High School, and Transition programs.

My background also includes work in self-contained therapeutic and severe/profound settings.

Do your services require a full-year commitment?

No. Contracts can end at any time- for example, when a district hires a full-time psychologist. My goal is always for students to have consistent, full-time support; I’m here to assist districts in the interim.

Do you offer in-person or virtual services?

All testing in the Chicago area is conducted in-person.

I offer virtual assessments across Illinois and in some other states, depending on licensure reciprocity.
Do you carry insurance and required credentials?

Yes. I am a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) and hold an Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with both a School Psychologist and Director of Special Education administrator endorsement.

I also maintain professional liability insurance as an independent contractor.

Do you only help with evaluations?

No. In addition to evaluations, I can also provide consultation and administrative support. With my Director of Special Education endorsement and administrative experience, I can assist with:

  • Administrator-level consultation and project support

  • MTSS data analysis and Tier 2/3 intervention planning

  • Student problem-solving

What are your rates?

Rates vary depending on service type. Most districts choose per-evaluation flat fee rates, but I also offer hourly rates.

Do you employ anyone else?
Not at this time. All services, communication, and reports are completed directly by me.
Do you only complete evaluations in bulk?
Not at all. I’m available for single assessments (such as one ADOS-2 administration) or for large-scale evaluation support when districts have higher needs.
Do you attend IEP meetings?
Yes. I attend Eligibility meetings and Initial Domains meetings virtually. I typically do not attend Reevaluation Domains meetings unless it is a special circumstance.
What assessment tools do you use?
I use Q-Interactive on the iPads for the majority of academic and cognitive assessments. I also use Q-Global and MHS for sending digital rating scales. Districts would need to provide the physical ADOS-2 kit.
Do you participate in cases with family attorneys, advocates, or private providers?
Yes. I also have experience serving as the administrator LEA representative in meetings with attorneys, advocates, and private providers.
Do you complete IEP paperwork?
Yes. I complete domains, documentation of evaluation, documentation of intervention, eligibility, autism considerations, functional behavior assessment, behavior intervention plan, and manifestation determination paperwork. As a prior administrator I also have experience writing entire IEPs.
Where are you located?
I am based in the Chicago area but I am open to virtual work throughout the United States.
Can families hire you directly?
No. I am only available for hire by school districts.
