Elizabeth Nelson, Ed.S., NCSP

In my role as a special education administrator in a high school district along the North Shore of Chicago, I supervised a team of nearly 70 professionals, including special education teachers, school psychologists, speech pathologists, social workers, and instructional assistants. I have extensive experience serving as the Local Education Agency (LEA) representative in challenging meetings with special education advocates and attorneys. I also have a strong background as a school psychologist and 504 coordinator, having worked across general education, therapeutic, and severe/profound settings. This diverse experience equips me with a comprehensive understanding of the intricacies of special education, allowing me to implement best practices for students and guide staff towards evidence-based decisions.
